have recently begun bringing together native dogs of Cambodia that share unusual attributes, most notably a high ridge of fur along its back. These dogs have been introduced to the world as the Cambodian Razorback, sometimes called “Berger’s Dog”. It is unclear whether these dogs are a unique native breed, or a variant of dogs native to the region of Cambodia.The Cambodian Razorback is a slender, long-legged dog with a long coat, fluffy upright tail, upright ears, and of course the high ridge of long hair. The ridge begins after the shoulders and does not quite reach the tail. It appears to run from the shoulders to the hips. These cheerful dogs seem to come in all colors. Although , they are strong and agile. Interestingly, they bark very little, and seem to prefer actions to woofs.The origin of this breed is unknown, and there is apparently no general recognition of these dogs as a specific breed by the people of Cambodia. However, it is likely that Cambodia’s lowered interest canid phenotypes.
