All adopted dogs come with leash and collar, as well as a name tag.
The dogs below are new arrivals. All recent intakes are in medical quarantine for two weeks and should be available for adoption soon.
Luckydog provides lifetime care to pets passed up by adopters due to behavior or health concerns. We are a holistic pet sanctuary so instead of covering up physical symptoms with drugs, we aim to restore balance with nutrition and integrative techniques. Wellness is often achieved via diet, exercise, and other gentle healing methods. Behavior concerns are often remedied by being pat of a well-directed pack. Boundaries, exercise, and good nutrition, can turn an unhappy hound into a placid pooch.
Our dogs and cats usually have no available medical history prior to their admittance to our shelters. Your adoption packet includes a certificate for a free health examination at any participating SCVMA veterinary office. This service is not available for rabbits at this time. The Adoption Receipt must be presented to the veterinarian at the time of examination.

Animal Rescue Foundation of Louisiana's (ARF-LA) mission is to provide care, shelter and medical attention for stray, abandoned and unwanted dogs, and then place them in loving homes through our adoption process. All of the amazing cats and dogs available for adoption at L.A. Love & Leashes are from (our city shelters). They come to us daily looking for a new home and a loving family!ARF-LA's funding is derived through fundraisers, donations, and adoption fees. It is a costly and labor-intensive endeavor, but the emotional satisfaction of seeing life change not only for a dog, but also for a family, a widow, a widower, or a single parent with children is VERY rewarding.Few things feel better than helping dogs and cats find new, loving homes. The adoptions at L.A. Love & Leashes are volunteer-run and we are always looking for terrific volunteers. Just bring your driver’s license or another valid form of ID, as well as a collar and leash or carrier (or purchase one on site), and your new best friend can go home with you today. There is also a $20 pet license for dogs that applies to adopters living in the city of Los Angeles.“TheAdopt-A-Pet system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.”
